Institutional Development programme - 2025 awards
The Global Fund for Community Foundations (GFCF) is a global, virtual organization with a small team, headquartered in Johannesburg. We have been working with the global community philanthropy field since 2006, and are all about building networks with like-minded organizations that see the power of people-led development.
Our grantmaking process and approach:
Our grants are awarded through a combination of proactive invitations to organizations to apply and – when capacity and resources allow – through an open competitive process. All grants are made in accordance with our strategic objectives and funding decisions are approved by our board.
A nonprofit organization, also known as a non-business entity, not-for-profit organization, or nonprofit institution, is dedicated to furthering a particular social cause or advocating for a shared point of view. Nonprofits are tax exempt or charitable. They can operate in religious, scientific, research, or educational settings.
