The 2 B.I template documents were modified to highlight the fact that there is a different version of the B.I template to be used when applying for Thematic Topics vis-a-vis non-Thematic topics. This was already stated since the publication of this call call but was made even more visible with this update. No change in substance was made. The templates are in the "Additional Documents" section for each topic and can also be downloaded from the submission system.

The topic contributes to develop advanced electrical distribution system architectures to be integrated in the Multifunctional Fuselage Demonstrator. Design, Development, Manufacturing and Validation of a “Multifunctional Aircraft Power Network with Electrical Switching” shall deliver a hardware and software system with an achieved Technology Readiness Level of 4. The development includes the control of a data network and switching on the power buses controlled by the Bus Controller Unit (BCU). The scope of the project includes the BCU, Solid State Bus Tie Contactor (SSBTC), loads with representative impedances and integrated bus controlled switching, as well as the performance of these when integrated with the Multifunctional Fuselage Demonstrator (MFFD) bus.
