Description

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is a United States federal agency and one of the major operating mechanisms that are part of the Department of Health and Human Services. The key goal of the agency is to deliver public health safety through the control and prevention of various diseases, injuries and disabilities worldwide and especially in the United States. CDC has issued a grant notice entitled “World Trade Center Health Research related to WTC Survivors (U01-No Applications with Responders Accepted)”. The goal is to assist in addressing the Zadroga Act research mandate and provide consultation to the World Trade Center (WTC) Scientific/Technical Advisory Committee. Applicants are expected to provide scientifically accurate research to help to answer important questions regarding WTC survivors’ physical and mental health conditions linked with the September 2001 terrorist attacks. The estimated application due date is December 7, 2021 with applications submitted in electronic format to be submitted no later than 5:00 pm ET on the listed application due date. The estimated award date is June 15, 2022. The estimated project start date is July 1, 2022.
