ACGF– Afghan Credit Guarantee Foundation is a charitable foundation based in Cologne, Germany and an office in Berlin. ACGF was founded in September 2014 by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and DEG – Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (a member of the KFW Group). ACGF is further supported with funds provided by the World Bank via the Afghan Government and by KfW Development Bank.
ACGF's mission is to improve access to finance for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Afghanistan by providing credit guarantees and related technical assistance to Partner Institutions (PIs) – banks, micro-finance, and micro-deposit institutions. ACGF implements its mandate by providing partial credit guarantees to Afghan financial institutions for loans extended to Afghan MSMEs. ACGF is also in the process of establishing a matching grants facility and a start-up facility for businesses in Afghanistan.
Specifically, the MG Senior Business Analyst will support the Matching Grants Department Manager in the design and implementation of process optimization and reporting requirements as well as in SME business analysis and actively involved in communication with the international MG Department, IT and applications vendors.
Your Tasks:
- Supporting the MG Department Manager in
- Designing and implementing business requirements for process optimisation related to the Grant Management System (GMS);
- Conducing user acceptance testing
- Being in charge of small change requests in a post-implementation phase of the GMS;
- Identifying gaps and optimizing the MG grant processing;
- Co-ordinating the design and configuration of the GMS (Salesforce-based solution) with the vendor and the SCSA team so as to ensure that it meets ACGF’s needs;
- Supported by the vendor, providing technical support to ensure that the GMS is fully functional;
- Together with the vendor, developing a GMS user manual / guiding documents;
- Together with the vendor, train key staff members in the GMS;
- Analyzing the MSME grant application and proposing for/taking decisions together with the Head of MG Department;
- Design and implementation of reporting requirements;
- Collecting data, and preparing regular reports about the program status for relevant stakeholders, such as the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MoIC), the World Bank, KfW and ACGF Board of Trustees as required
- Establishing project management standards;
- Supporting the MG Department at SCSA in:
- Supporting the business analysis of SMEs that are eligible of receiving MGs;
- Preparing relevant information in order to be able to make grant decisions on ACGF
All of your tasks will be guided by ACGF’s processes and procedures and will be line with ACGF’s objectives and stakeholder’s needs as well as best-practices of MSME finance.
Your Profile:
- University degree, preferably in economics, business, finance, Information systems, or other related academic fields, preferably at a post-graduate level.
- +3 years working experience in project management in the financial/IT sector.
- +1 year in management of Salesforce/Salesforce-based applications.
- Ideally, you have experience as a power user in relation to the Salesforce/Salesforce-based application
- Above average project management and very good analytical skills.
- Work experience at a data-driven position is a plus.
- Excellent command of English language (verbal and written), German and other languages would be an add-on.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
