Key expert 3: Business environment & private sector development

EURO-FUNDING Multilateral Projects S.L. is looking for a Key expert 3: Business environment & private sector development – (minimum input: 20 months) Expert for the EU funded project: : Complementary Support – State and Resilience Building Contract 3.

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to sustainable inclusive growth and democratic and economic good governance in The Gambia.

The purposes of this contract are:
- Progress of democratic reforms, human rights and the rule of law.
- Implementation of reforms in the area of Public Financial Management (PFM).
- Enhancement of statistical data collection and management.
- Improved business environment to promote investment and private sector development.
- Strengthened fight against corruption.

We are looking for a SBusiness environment & private sector development Expert with following qualifications:

Qualifications and skills

• Postgraduate qualification in business, or finance, or economics, or law, or related field
• Fluent in English (C1)
• Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

General professional experience

• A minimum of 10 years work experience in the business sector
• Experience in interacting effectively with senior officials in government, the business community, civil society, and the general public
• Experience in working in teams

Specific experience

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in investment facilitation, or business climate/ environment development, or private sector development, or trade related assistance, or another related field
• Experience in working in developing countries
• Deep understanding of investment climate challenges and experience working to address them

Notes:

1. The Key Expert must be independent and free from conflict of interest in the responsibilities they take on.
2. Expected start date of the project: February 2022, with a duration of 20 months.
