GIZ International Services (InS) is an integral division of GIZ. We offer the experience, the regional and technical know-how of GIZ in the global market and provide international clients with expertise in terms of economic and result-oriented services.

GIZ International Services is shortlisted for the EU-funded tender:State and Resilience Building Contract 3 (CS SRBC3)“ in Gambia.

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to sustainable inclusive growth and democratic and economic good governance in The Gambia.

Purpose

The purposes of this contract are as follows:

  • Progress of democratic reforms, human rights and the rule of law.
  • Implementation of reforms in the area of Public Financial Management (PFM).
  • Enhancement of statistical data collection and management.
  • Improved business environment to promote investment and private sector development.
  • Strengthened fight against corruption.


Your profile

Qualifications and skills

  • Postgraduate qualification in Law, Political Science, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Macroeconomics, Public Financial Management, or related field
  • Fluent in English (C1)
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

 

General experience

  • A minimum of 10 years work experience in public sector reforms including experience in Public Financial Management
  • Experience in working in developing countries
  • Experience in training activities

 

Specific experience

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in providing technical assistance on the fight against corruption
  • Experience in collaborating with senior officials in government
  • Experience in working in teams


Location information

This project will have a national scope. The operational base for the project is the capital city of The Gambia, Banjul. Technical assistants will be based in Banjul and will travel to the provinces and districts as necessary for the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programme activities.

Start date & period of implementation

The intended start date is 01/02/2022 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 20 months from this date.
