Long Term Senior Non-Key Expert 2 (MTA - General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration)

EURO-FUNDING Multilateral Projects S.L. is looking for a Senior Non-Key Expert for the EU Technical Assistance for “Enhancing the Rare Earth Elements Research and Innovation Capacity of Turkey” Project:

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to support the establishment of a sustainable REE supply chain for economic development of Turkey.

The purpose of this contract is to enhance the national REEs-related R&D capacity in Turkey.

We are looking for a Senior Non-Key Expert with following qualifications:

Qualifications and skills

• Minimum Bachelor´s degree in fields of Mining Engineering/Metallurgical Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Chemistry.
• Applicants holding a post-graduate degree (MSc or PhD degree) in above fields relevant to the production of REE from Recycling Process of Electronic Waste will be an asset.
• Very good command of English (speaking, reading and writing).

General professional experience

• Minimum 5 years of working experience in “Recycling of Electronic Waste and REE Industry” following the attainment of Bachelor´s degree.

Specific experience

• Minimum 3 preferably 5 years of working experience in extraction and purification of REEs from ore materials conducting hydrometallurgical processes including roasting/calcination/leaching/solvent extraction/ion exchange methods.
• Minimum 3 preferably 5 years of working experience in recovery of REEs from electronic waste by physical/hydrometallurgical/pyrometallurgical/solvent extraction/electrolysis.

Notes:

1. The Non-Key Expert must be independent and free from conflict of interest in the responsibilities they take on.
2. Expected start date of the project: July 2022, with a duration of 24 months.
