Your mission

Overview of the position:
Hours: part-time (~30-35 hours per week) / Starting date: As soon as possible / Duration: limited contract until end of December 2022 / Location: Berlin, Germany
Department & reporting line: Executive Office
Your main tasks:

  • You co-design, develop and (partially) implement independently projects around one of our core topics – mediation support
  • You will be co-responsible for donor-reporting and budget monitoring
  • To ensure constant development of the area of work you draft concept notes, project proposals incl. its activities and ensure that a consolidated plan for the entire project cycle especially regarding proper financial calculations is in place
  • You ensure smooth communication with partners/stakeholders/participants/donors
  • You have an eye on the compliance to donor regulations as well as internal guidelines
  • Internally you cooperate closely with internal stakeholders and teams, such as Financial Managers and the Fundraising & Communications team
  • Occasional travel (also high risk countries) might come up
Your profile
  • You hold a Master degree within a relevant field such as Peace and Conflict Studies, Political Science, International Relations or similar
  • You have around 5 years relevant work experience (project management and mediation support)
  • You are knowledgeable on recent trends, concepts and practice of peace mediation
  • Furthermore, you have experience in working in volatile and conflict-prone contexts
  • Excellent verbal and written language skills in English and fluent German (at least C1-level) are mandatory, Spanish will be an additional asset
  • Professional skills in the use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Teams) complete your profile

The contract duration of the part-time position is limited until end of December 2022 and can be extended depending on the availability of project funds.
