ADE’s areas of expertise include notably:

Our Agriculture, Rural development and Environment Department is specialised in evaluations in these fields, notably within the context of the Common Agricultural Policy, but also in third countries.  We work for major clients such as the European Union, EU Member States, EU MS’ aid agencies (Enabel, AFD, ..), the African Development Bank, etc.

We are currently looking for a junior Project Manager to work on the management of projects under our Framework Contracts with bilateral and multilateral development cooperation covering:

  • Agriculture
  • Inclusive economic growth
  • Infrastructure and energy
  • Water and sanitation
  • Cross-cutting themes: gender, human rights, HIV/AIDS, environment, capacity building
  • Portfolio evaluation covering all sectors in a country

Profile:

  • A Bachelor or Master’s degree in management, economics, agronomy/bioengineering, public finance management, public administration, governance or related fields in development cooperation
  • Experience in development cooperation is an asset
  • Excellent project planning, management and organisational skills, with ability to multitask under tight deadlines
  • Co-operative and supportive team player with ‘Can Do’ attitude
  • Good stress-resistance and ability to work independently
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English and French is required;
  • Between 1 and 6 years maximum of experience

Role and responsibilities:

  • Provide proposals for all framework requests in a timely manner, by:
    • Identifying high-quality experts international and national; proposing methodologies developed with the team leader and work plans;
    • Negotiating and agreeing on working conditions with the experts as well as supervising the methodology preparation process;
    • Preparing budgets
    • Coordinating and ensuring efficient communication with clients, partners, and experts
    • Preparing annual reports for the Clients
  • Fulfilling project management tasks, including responsibility for several projects won (backstopping, logistics, contractual and administrative arrangements, financial follow-up, interaction with clients, partners and teams, etc.)
