UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security.

UN Women is negotiating a grant agreement with the European Union in Lebanon. Grant agreements with the EU can be very heavy, detailed and time consuming. To support on this process, UN Women in Lebanon is hiring a proposal writer who will lead in drafting the proposal, budget, risk matrix and any other document that need to be completed from the EU. The set of deliverables will be a full proposal for the EU, cleared by UN Women.

Duties and Responsibilities

The consultant, reporting to the head of office, will work with the team leading the discussions in UN Women and be engaged in calls with the EU, the UN Women team in Brussels, and other relevant stakeholders to take forward the finalization of the proposal. This will include responding and addressing comments provided by the EU, UN Women regionally and in Brussels, and other potential stakeholders. It is anticipated the proposal will go through many rounds, and for this reason the contract is 4 months in duration.
