GIS/IMO Roster

CANADEM is seeking seasoned professionals with previous relevant experience for its Russian speaking GIS/IMO roster. CANADEM is a Canadian based NGO that works with various UN agencies through the standby partnership programme. We regularly deploy candidates in various areas of expertise all around the globe. Registration with CANADEM is always free. We are looking to expand our pool of experts for potential/upcoming opportunities with different UN agencies field offices(locations to be determined). Most positions are for 3 to 6-months deployments.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Bachelor’s degree in GIS Analysis, Environmental Science, Geography, or related field.
3-5 years of experience with ArcGIS. GISP certification preferred.
Proficiency with database programming languages such as SQL, R or Python.
Proficiency with front end design languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and various mapping languages.
Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Early Warning System Network (EWS-Net)
Excellent knowledge of Russian mandatory
