Parallel to our continued growth, we are now seeking a Communication Consultant to join our Communications and Digital team.

Your workplace environment
You will join the Communications and Digital team that has a long track record of assisting the European Commission and other international organisations in public policy communications, in the EU and beyond. Our activities consist of a variety of communications services for our clients, ranging from one-off publications, presentations and videos, to fully-fledged campaigns incorporating cross-media promotion and social media strategies. Our work covers a wide range of EU policies including education and training, employment and social affairs, civil society, justice and consumers, entrepreneurship industrial innovation and SMEs, agriculture, energy and environment. Our clients include mainly EU institutions.

What will your typical tasks include?
You will work with Ecorys colleagues, partner organisations, subcontractors and associates across Europe in delivering Ecorys’ communication services for national, EU27 and international markets. Together with the team you will submit proposals and lead on implementation for Ecorys’s communications framework and other communications contracts. You will be part of a team reporting to the Director (Communications). You will be expected to manage and to deliver existing and new communication assignments such as competitions, exhibitions, etc. You will contribute to developing and implementing social media strategies, and production and distribution of high quality, engaging social media content (including community management). Manage social media budgets e.g. paid advertising, for client contracts and seek efficiencies wherever possible You will contribute with ideas, concepts, and storylines to the creative processes in the production of audio-visual materials. You will be liaising with other in-house teams as well as partners, and providers (e.g. writers, photographers, printers, designers and production staff) and oversee all stage of the production process and project cycle. This will include a wide range of editorial tasks including drafting, editing, updating, revising English and Croatian content for websites (including content management), for our clients. In terms of winning new contracts, you will be expected to contribute to proposals in response to new requests from clients on existing Framework contracts or in tenders Ecorys will be bidding for and you will help to develop where necessary partnerships with appropriate organisations.

What will you bring?

Graduate level or equivalent years of relevant experience;
Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in communications and project management;
C2 level of English and Croatian (written and spoken)
Excellent organisational and coordination skills;
Excellent writing and editing skills with the capacity to summarise and communicate about complex matters in a clear, precise and simple way;
Ability to lead on key operational area, working on own initiative and as part of a team; demonstrating excellent co-ordination and organisational skills, including the ability to assimilate large amounts of information;
Experience working across a variety of media including press, audio-visual, websites and publications;
Experience in using digital tools and social media to reach and engage with online audiences, through both organic posting and paid advertising;
Understanding of the digital landscape and relevant technological advances;
Knowledge of and familiarity with the media landscape in Croatia;
Excellent attention to detail;
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
Computer literacy - knowledge of MS Office - WORD, EXCEL;
Interest in working for the promotion of EU policies.


EU related experience;
Experience in business development in public international markets;
Experience in proposal preparation;
Experience in working with both EU and international clients;
Ability in French and/other European Union languages
