Objectives

The global objective:

·        To enhance the strategic communications of the European Union in Myanmar amid the political, economic, and humanitarian crisis following the military coup of February 2021.

The specific objectives of this Assignment:

·        To support the EU Delegation to Myanmar in the definition and implementation of strategic communications objectives related to its cooperation in Myanmar via the delivery of advisory services as well as communication products.

·        The above shall be done according to do-no-harm principles, in a conflict sensitive way and applying the EU Human Rights Based Approach (HRBA), and contribute to the priority areas of the EU’s Gender Action Plan (GAP III)..

Experts profile

·        Masters Degree in the field of Communications, Media, Public Relations, International Relations, Development, or another related field

·        Minimum 6 years’ relevant general professional working experience

·        Minimum 6 years’ experience conceptualising, organising and conducting public relations campaigns with both the European business and public sectors.

·        Minimum 2 years’ experience working on communications initiatives related to the EU.

Professional experience of the following types will be taken into account positively:

·        Work experience in South-East Asia.

·        Work experience in or with Myanmar

·        Work experience with the European business sector and/or trade unions.
