Technical Assistance to support the implementation of Municipal water infrastructures in Turkey (AA-010897-001)

Overall objective 

The Project’s overall objective is to improve provision of essential water and sanitation services throughout Turkey. This will contribute to closing the gap with the UN Sustainable Development Goal number 6 (SDG6) “Clean water and sanitation” as well as gaining resilience against Climate Change effects; adaptation for storm water sub-projects and mitigation for wastewater and sewerage sub-projects. Positive social effects are also expected, through improving of household health (SDG3 Good Health and Well-being) through wastewater treatment and environmental positive effects in inland and coastal water bodies (SDG14, Life below water).

Key Expert 2: Wastewater Specialist

Qualifications and skills

• Master’s degree an appropriate field, such as Civil or Water/Environmental Engineering;
• Good command of English in a working environment (working level).

General professional experience

• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience;

 Specific professional experience

• 5 years of experience in design or design supervision of medium size WWTP (up to 50,000 m3/d);
• 5 years of experience in sewerage networks (combined and separate networks), storm water networks and wastewater pumping stations;
• 5 years of experience in drainage and flood management;
• Previous relevant experience in the water and wastewater sector in Turkey would be an advantage.
