Qualifications and skills required for the team: At least a master’s degree or equivalent professional experience in the fields relevant to this assignment, notably research in international relations, peace and conflict studies and social sciences.
• General professional experience of the team: At least 12 years' professional experience in research in international relations, including on conflict prevention, crisis response and post-crisis assistance.
• Specific professional experience of the team: • At least 5 years professional experience in research in international relations and conflict contexts, including on community-level peacebuilding capacity building (including modalities of direct funding of local organisations and digital peacebuilding), inclusivity and diversity of crisis response and peacebuilding actions (including gender, youth, the elderly, the inclusion of people with disabilities and minority groups), climate and environment (specific implications on conflict risks in fragile and conflict settings), including conflicts regarding natural resources (e.g. mining and extractive industries), Disinformation in conflict settings; • Experience with and knowledge of the EU ToR template OPSYS –  institutions, and European external action specifically, will be considered an asset; • Excellent research, analytical and writing skills and ability to structurally address various thematic areas;
• Language skills of the team: English (proficient user, C1 level or above) and French (B2 or above) are required. Proficiency in Spanish (proficient user, C1 or above) would be an asset depending on the assignment.
