Job description:

We are currently preparing an offer for a project in Central Asia and to strengthen our team we are looking for local experts in, or with significant experience in, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan und Turkmenistan.

You should have knowledge and understanding of the power sector institutions and the political and economic environment in Central Asia countries. Expertise and regional experience in those countries is an absolute must to be considered. Additionally, it is preferable if you also already gained experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Design and implementation of national and regional power markets
• Development of market rules
• Economic and technical regulatory harmonization
• Transmission pricing
• Calculation of electricity markets economic benefits
• Grid codes and tariff setting
• Institutional capacity building for energy institutions

Responsibilities:

• Research, review and evaluate legal and technical documents
• Stakeholder management and interviews
• Report writing
• Capacity building

Requirements:

• Proven relevant experience in the region (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan und Turkmenistan)
• Fluency in English and preferably also Russian
