TEAM: Communications Unit

GRADE: E2 – Senior Associate

LOCATION: GWPO Secretariat, Stockholm, Sweden (‘in-office and remote work model’)

SALARY: €2,800-€3,200 net monthly

ELIGIBILITY: Local Contract  - Swedish nationals or legal residents (right to work in Sweden) at the time of application

BACKGROUND

Global Water Partnership (GWP) is a multi-stakeholder platform supported by a global secretariat that was established as an intergovernmental organization to support countries in their efforts to implement a more equitable and sustainable management of their water resources. The GWP network spans 13 regions with more than 3,000 institutional Partners in 180+ countries. The global secretariat is hosted by the GWP Organisation (GWPO) located in Stockholm, Sweden. www.gwp.org.

SCOPE OF THE POSITION

The global team is comprised of a dynamic group of 40+ staff who work to support GWP’s Regional Water Partnerships, Country Water Partnerships, and institutional partners, as well as all GWP’s stakeholders.  GWPO is Implementing Partner for Cap-Net UNDP, a knowledge Network.

GWPO's Communications Team is looking for a creative, analytical, and experienced Digital Marketing Associate to join their team! This position supports the communications function of GWP.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Develop and implement digital marketing plans for GWP’s knowledge products, programmes, and events.
  • Manage the production of visual assets for digital media outreach, including images, video, infographics, and other communication assets as needed.
  • Deploy digital marketing assets (text-based and visual) in an organized manner as part of a larger marketing plan that strengthens GWP’s position as a global thought leader in the water space (this includes day-to-day social media posting).
  • Maintain email marketing calendar to ensure accurate and timely delivery of emails and newsletters.
  • Write creative briefs for marketing emails to GWP’s partner network.
  • Implement email marketing plans.
  • Analyze digital (including social media) metrics and adjust the marketing plan to optimize outreach and engagement with GWP messaging, including SEO.
  • Establish and oversee practices for tracking marketing contact actions (event RSPVs and attendance, downloading marketing materials, requests for information).
  • Maintain and improve the existing GWP website.
  • Support events as needed.
  • Other communications tasks as assigned.

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • University degree in digital marketing, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3-years related experience working in digital marketing and social media campaign design and implementation.
  • Excellent knowledge and application of digital platforms and analytics.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • A demonstrated good understanding of branding principles, with a good eye for visuals and basic design fundamentals.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office 365 applications; good working knowledge of video & web editing, web design and other media editing software, content management systems.

  • Languages: English. French and Spanish can be an asset. Swedish language skills are an advantage.
