In close collaboration with the Oxfam teams in the regions of intervention, the advisor will be mandated to:

  • Collaborate in the design and implementation of the second phase of the campaign with Ecofeminista, in coordination with the Regional Group for Gender Justice and Women's Rights (JGDDMM)
  • Collaborate in the organization of events and activities with external and internal regional groups on community care and self-care
  • Design strategic communication for key audiences and effective feedback and promote spaces for socialization of results and reports on care
  • Collaborate to research on care issues
  • Strengthen communication with strategic actors in regional forums
  • Enable communities of inter-learning and promotion of a knowledge initiative
  • Collaborate in the development of an internal protocol aligned to a political position on care and self-care
  • Contribute to the management of consultancy mandates related to the systematization of experiences, the design of tools and Oxfam's content analysis on care
  • Share and embody Oxfam’s commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against behaviour that violates the code of conduct, including sexual harassment, exploitation, abuse, intimidation, lack of integrity, corruption, and fraud
  • Participate in development efforts in Canada during and after the mandate by contributing to the dissemination of the program, projects, partners, etc. through testimonials, life stories, photos, quotes, etc.


  • Have Canadian citizenship or permanent residence in Canada
  • University degree in Social Sciences, Human Rights, Women's Studies, or other relevant fields
  • Proven professional experience of at least 3 years in a similar position
  • Communication and analytical skills
  • Experience in Latin America will be particularly considered
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Skype, Teams and Zoom
  • Advanced level in Spanish
  • Adhesion to Oxfam's mission and values, including the promotion of gender justice
  • Experience in the field of international development an asset
