Description
The Center for Evaluation and Development is a non-profit charitable organisation that researches which programmes and policies are successful in development cooperation. The Center aims to contribute to the alleviation of need and poverty in Africa, Asia and Latin America and to sustainable development. The Center cooperates with renowned partners such as UNICEF, ILO, World Bank, World Food Programme WFP, WHO, UN Climate Fund, Bread for the World, KfW and GIZ.
Your main tasks:
- Processing and checking incoming and outgoing invoices and filing them
- Supporting the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Monitoring project finances in Excel
- File management and document administration
- Support with invoices in German and English to project sponsors
- Preparation of cost statements and overviews
- Verification and processing of project accounts (control of exchange rates)
Your profile:
- Good written and spoken English skills are a must
- You have successfully completed training or study of accounting and commerce
- You enjoy working with numbers and Excel
- You have some basic knowledge of accounting, invoicing and auditing
- You are independent, very precise and have a very good understanding of numbers
- You keep a clear head even under time pressure and can prioritise and handle several things at the same time
- You are able to handle sensitive data in an appropriate manner
- You can comfortably use Microsoft software, especially Excel
