Description

Identification of critical catchment characteristics
Modelling of Critical hydrological sub-systems and the Kinoni, Bikwi and Karago Close
coordination with the hydrogeologist for the diagnostic, the modelling and the proposal
of scenarios, considering water catchment and land restoration approaches.
The expert will report to the RWB, EU and the VCRP team.

Qualifications required:
Minimum requirements: Master’s degree in hydrology, or water resources assessment Assets: Proven knowledge in landscape restoration in Africa. Language skills: Minimum requirements: Excellent English communication skills both orally and in writing; at least C-1 level proficiency in English Assets: At least B-2 level proficiency in French

Professional experience required:
• General professional experience: Minimum requirements: At least 5 years of relevant experience in hydro-logical modelling and catchment Masterplan At least 3 years of relevant experience in monitoring and processing of hydro-meteorological data Assets: 10 years experience will be an asset Experiences in hydraulic infrastructures and "hydraulique douce" will be an asset; Experiences in African countries will be an asset • Specific professional experience: Relevant experiences (at least 5 years cumulative) in : -data consistency checking; -water balance studies; -statistical analysis of rainfall; -advanced hydro logical modelling and environment flow assessment. He/she should have conducted at least five similar assignments related to hydro logical investigations preferably in data scarce areas
