KE5-Hydraulic structure engineer

The expert will be in charge, in collaboration with
the team leader and the expert team, of the initial and detail designs of the flood control
measures, and elaboration of the tender file.
Additional information: The expert will report to the RWB, EU and the VCRP team.

Qualifications required:
Master's degree and Postgraduate qualifications in hydraulic structure engineering

Professional experience required:
General professional experience: Minimum Requirement: at least 10 years of practical experience in dam design, dam operation optimization and hydraulic structure design Assets: Experiences in Sub-saharan countries using scarce data will be an advantage. Specific professional experience: 5 relevant references of similar assignments; 2 Proven experiences in "Hydraulique douce"/"soft" hydraulics and detention ponds, dykes, small dams design 2 Proven experiences in hydraulic infrastructures supervision Assets: - Preferably with experience in Nature Based solutions. Language skills: Minimum requirements: Excellent English communication skills both orally and in writing; at least C-1 level proficiency in English Assets: At least B-2 level proficiency in French
