Water and Wastewater Services for Syrian Refugees and Host Communities in Jordan VII-VIII

The KfW funded project is on its VII-VII phase and it is a continuation of efforts to provide the local population and Syrian refugees in the Northern Governorates of Jordan—Irbid, Jerash, Ajloun, and Mafraq—with better access to water and sanitation services.

Your Main Duties in this Position

• Support to the PEA in the management of the programme
• Coordination with the PEA and Stakeholders
• Elaboration and Monitoring of the Project Planning
• Provision of reports for this service assignment
• Monitoring of programme objectives and achievement of indicators 

Your Educational Background

• University degree in civil engineering / mechanical engineering with at least 15 years’ experience

Your Expertise / Profile

General professional experience:

• At least 15 years’ experience
• Sound experience in project management of a team composed of international and local experts

Specific professional experience:

• 10 years of international professional experience of which 8 years for design of water and wastewater systems
• Expert knowledge on design of water distribution systems and sewer networks
• Thorough knowledge of procurement rules

Leadership professional experience:

• Previous experiences as Team Leader would be an asset

Regional experience:

• Previous work experience in Jordan on comparable aspects will be an added-value

Time Schedule / Duration of Assignment

The project is estimated to start by June 2023 for a period of  55 months. The duration of the assignment as Team Leader/Design Team  is expected to be 18 months at the beginning of the project.
