Under the direct supervision of Head of Research, Assessment, and Monitoring (RAM), and overall supervision of Deputy Country Director, the Head of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) will lead the development and implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation Strategies and Plans aligned to WFP corporate standards to generate quality evidence on the lives of beneficiaries to inform policy, strategy, programme design and implementation in Bangladesh. The incumbent will also serve as Deputy Head of RAM unit to support VAM, KIM functions as needed. The role includes coordinating monitoring activities, managing decentralized evaluations, and thematic/mid-term reviews and supporting the positioning WFP as a reliable partner to build monitoring and evaluation strategies with key stakeholders.
Education: Advanced University degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Sociology, Social Development, Development Economics, International Relations or Performance Management or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of relevant work experience and/or training/courses.
Experience: More than 6 years of relevant professional work experience in development or humanitarian work such as Monitoring, Evaluation, Programme/project design and/or management, needs assessment, research, reporting, etc.
Language: International Professional: Fluency (level C) in English language.
