EnCompass LLC is seeking consultants with expertise in Organizational Development, Professional Development, and/or Leadership Coaching to support the Bureau of Global Health, Office of Professional Development and Management Support, Professional and Organizational Development Team (GH/PDMS/POD) through the Global Health Training, Advisory, and Support Contract (GHTASC). We are looking for individuals who are highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and have excellent communication skills.

The consultants will work under the direct oversight of a GHTASC technical staff member and in close collaboration with various teams across USAID’s Bureau for Global Health. The consultant will be responsible for ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and in accordance with Encompass’s and USAID’s quality standards.

Consultants will be expected to develop and deliver professional development (PD) and/or organizational development (OD) courses, workshops, events, interventions, etc. as assignments are available. Consultants specializing in leadership coaching will be expected to plan for a specified number of 1-hour coaching sessions based on the needs of the coaching client.

Specific LOE, deliverables, and periods of performance for specific assignments will be communicated by the project point of contact as assignments become available.

The consultant work will largely take place remotely, with some potential for in-person work in the Washington, DC area or worldwide.

Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.

 Position Duties and Responsibilities

Illustrative tasks for the consultant position include:

  • Develop designs, materials, agendas, tools, presentations, etc. for requested professional development activities.
  • Facilitate requested courses and workshops.
  • Plan, design, and deliver organizational development retreats and workshops in collaboration with the USAID team requesting the intervention.
  • Develop retreat and follow-up materials as requested by the client, using USAID’s branding and marking requirements.
  • Plan for and deliver a specified number of 1-hour leadership coaching sessions with coaching clients as assigned.

Position Requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and 10 years’ experience in organizational development, professional development, or coaching
  • ICF certification highly desirable for coaches
  • Experience working with USAID and knowledge of USAID policies and practices highly desirable
  • Positive attitude and energetic presence
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong writing and synthesis skills; ability to convert technically complex concepts into plain language and able to communicate to a variety of audiences with a high degree of cultural sensitivity
  • Fluent in the use of Google Meet, Adobe Connect, WebEx, and/or Zoom, as well as Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Ability to engage with staff and clients to define needs and expectations, collaborate on projects, and communicate results
  • Knowledge of the principles of learning, including adult learning, learning styles, participatory methods, instructional design, Appreciative Inquiry, whole systems design, e-learning, and related topics
  • Fluency in language(s) other than English preferred
