YOUR MISSION?

Overall mission:

  • You have the responsibility to support IQLS activities regarding Bacteriology and AMR laboratory-related activities for Human and Veterinary aspects
  • As a Laboratory Specialist, you oversee the development and performance of laboratory-related activities and provide inputs on the technical part of projects.
  • As an expert, you support IQLS to answer specific requests for proposals (RFPs) in line with bacteriology laboratory and antimicrobial resistance-related interventions in Human and Veterinary Health
  • You Support field implementation of bacteriology and AMR laboratory activities, support AMR country road map development, and any other AMR laboratory-related activities (surveillance, diagnostic, etc.)

Project scientific lead:

  • Develop training and workshop material together with clients partners and beneficiaries
  • Conduct on-site missions for laboratory assessments, training and workshops
  • Contribute to IQLS improvement by reviewing materials/reports developed by IQLS laboratory specialists
  • Develop activity reports
  • Provide weekly reporting on the progress of missions to the Chief Scientist Officer
  • Maintain and enhance ISO9001 certification by complying with the IQLS quality management system

Activities Preparation/Tender:

  • Participate in response to request for RFPs
  • Identify of new businesses opportunities related to your field of expertise
  • Develop and maintain an active network in the respective field of activities
  • Maintain active and up-date scientific knowledge in the field of expertise
  • Map all important academic and non-academic stakeholders involved in the field of activities
  • Promote teamwork around response to RFPs and identify external resources to enhance the capacity of IQLS response to RFP
  • Together with CSO, CEO and any other relevant IQLS expert, develop the technical approach to propose an adapted proposal

Communication:

  • Keep project members and stakeholders informed of key developments, decisions, issues, and changes to project plan
  • Promote and support external presentation of technical activities
  • Participate to international meetings, events and conferences on behalf of IQLS
  • Support IQLS communication officer to develop activities news for the website regarding its field of expertise.
  • Promote writing of peer-reviewed articles on the field of activity and lessons learned from projects implemented

Meeting Management:

  • Organize project reviews when needed
  • Ensure follow-up action on issues raised in the meeting

Others

  • Contribute to IQLS internal projects and events at national and international level
