Are you a talented environmental and consenting project manager? Do you want to expand your career into Offshore Wind in the Philippines? Then you might be our new colleague.

NIRAS is a multi-disciplinary engineering company with a strong footprint in Offshore Wind in Europe and Asia-Pacific. We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our Environmental and Consent practice in the Philippines with an interest to work with our Offshore Wind and renewable energy practice to further our activities in the Philippines jointly with our team in Manila and Taiwan.

You have more than five years’ experience of working in the environmental sector in the Philippines delivering Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Social Impact Assessments or other environmental consents for projects in the Philippines and looking to expand your career into the Marine Environment sector with a strong focus on Offshore Wind.

The role will work from our office in Manila and report to our Offshore Wind hub in Taipei, Taiwan and work closely with our colleagues in the United Kingdom and Denmark.

What you will be doing
As we are scaling our activities within renewable energy in the Philippines we are looking for a colleague who will:

Manage projects of environmental and consenting projects
Author and quality assurance of technical reports in English and / or Takalog
Carry out quality assurance and management of suppliers
Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships and client engagement;

What are we looking for
For this position, you should ideally have around 5 years of work experience in Environmental Impact Assessment or similar disciplines.

Furthermore you will ideally match the following requirements:

Master in Environmental Engineering
Excellent communication and technical writing skills
Proven project management skills
Ability to work in international teams across different disciplines
Ability to work in a complex and fast moving working environment
Native Fluency in Takalog
Good command of English
Readiness to travel within the Philippines

Following are considered a plus:

Experience working on EIA / ESIA in renewable energy projects
Experience working on EIA / ESIA type projects for Donor Projects.
Experience in working in energy related projects in the Overseas Donor market
Experience working for an Engineering or Environmental Consultancy
Command of another Asian Language at fluent level, e.g. Mandarin, Japanese or Vietnamese
Overseas work or studies
