Senior Process Engineer within Green Fuels and Power-to-X

What will you be doing
As we are rapidly scaling activities within the green fuels market, you will play a key role in driving the development and execution of the project pipeline as well as help driving the further development of the process department. You will be working very closely with a team of market and expertise directors within green energy as well as colleagues across NIRAS´ many engineering and consultancy disciplines.

More specifically, you will be:

Taking lead on process design activities within green fuels and power-to-x.
Performing process studies and simulations of systems and configurations of various complexity.
Solving complex and challenging technical issues for clients within green fuels technologies.
Developing engineering design packages for projects within key segments, including but not limited to: Green hydrogen, ammonia, methanol and syn- and biofuels.
Contributing to further development and scaling of the Green Fuels process department
Sharing knowledge and skills in order to further develop your colleagues' abilities and skills
Collaborating with industry experts across NIRAS to deliver best in class projects for our customers.
Representing NIRAS in customer meetings and external events.
Liaising with a broad range of external parties and partners, including equipment and technology suppliers on the technical specifications.

What are we looking for
For this position, you should ideally have around 10+ years of experience working with process design within syngas technologies, petrochemicals or oil & gas.

Furthermore, you:

Have a background as a chemical engineer or equivalent with in depth knowledge on the key production pathways within green fuels and power-to-x.
Have extensive practical experience within process design and simulations of chemical plants.
Preferably have experience within electrolysis as well as hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, synfuels and biofuels technologies and processes.
Are determined and have a strong customer understanding and a consultative mindset
Poses a ‘go-do’ attitude and spirit and thrive working in cross-functional teams and projects.
Are motivated venturing into new green technology areas
Are fluent in English both verbally and in writing; Knowledge of Danish is an advantage.
