Malteser International (MI) is the international humanitarian relief agency of the Sovereign Order of Malta. For over 60 years we provide relief and recovery for people during and following conflicts and disasters around the world. Christian values and humanitarian principles form the foundations of our work. In over 30 countries in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, we support people in need – regardless of their religion, origin, or political convictions.
Since the outbreak of the war in eastern Ukraine in 2014, Malteser International has been working with the local partner “Malteser Lviv” in the sector of mental health and psycho-social support (MHPSS). Within the framework of humanitarian projects funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, two further partner organizations with MHPSS sector expertise have been added as implementing partners, which have run social centers in eastern Ukraine. As a result of the Russian attack in February 2022, Malteser International has massively expanded its humanitarian activities in Ukraine, including direct relief deliveries to war-affected areas – shelter, housing, and winterization – a scale-up of Mental Health and Psycho-social support – medical assistance in form of prostheses and rehabilitation – as well as social support and cohesion.
In support of the current program implementation and to reinforce the capacities of our local partners in Ukraine, Malteser International is looking for a MEAL Manager.
As MEAL Manager, you will lead and manage the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) of Malteser International’s Ukraine response. You will provide technical and methodological support to partner organizations and ensure the quality and relevance of monitoring and evaluation activities. You will ensure that learning from projects is systematically captured and used throughout the country program.
