IDH – The Sustainable Trade Initiative
Are you a hands-on Master’s student with a focus on gender, seeking to gain experience in a multi-stakeholder organization in an international environment? Then join IDH for an exciting, challenging paid internship where you can learn a lot in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Within this internship you will be part of our Gender team. IDH has seen throughout the years that gender equality is a catalyzer for economic growth. Gender equality and women’s empowerment are essential to building healthy and resilient businesses. IDH believes that when the private sector integrates gender inclusive strategies and gender smart interventions in their core business, their impact increases and their business models will be more commercially viable.
As part of this internship you will work on the following activities:
- Support developing tools and materials to support project teams and gender champions;
- Support to knowledge building and knowledge sharing by conducting research and sharing insights;
- Build an internal knowledge platform for Gender;
- Assist with preparing internal and external meetings;
- Preparing presentations and other administrative and logistical tasks to support the team.
Who you are
You are currently enrolled in a Master’s study relevant to the area of work, specialization courses related to gender equality in the business context is a plus. You have knowledge or a proven interest in the topics of Gender and Business. It would be great if you have some experience with project management, and you are a self-starter with excellent communication, research and applicable technical skills. You are also detail-oriented, focussed on result and you like to work in a fast-paced environment. Prioritizing is one of your strengths and honesty, transparency and energy are important to you. Last but not least, you are fluent in English, any additional languages are a plus.

What we offer
IDH offers a dynamic international environment and an enthusiastic and passionate team. As an IDH team member you can contribute to positive global change. This internship is expected to be a full-time internship lasting 6 months, starting as soon as possible. We offer a monthly internship fee of EUR 1120 based on a full-time internship.
The internship is based in The Netherlands. Candidates should have permission to work in the Netherlands.
