Description
The proposed Feasibility Study and Preliminary Engineering Design will prepare a bankable wastewater management project, comprising both sewerage and faecal sludge management systems, for Juba where the needs are dire, and provide opportunities for the government to access funding for sanitation infrastructure development.
The Bank’s pipeline project for the downstream investments for construction of the hybrid sewerage and faecal sludge sanitation system is scheduled to commence in 2024. Feasibility studies conducted prior to the downstream investments will therefore improve Quality at Entry for the works and enable realistic costing of the works. Further, knowledge generated during implementation of this project will be well documented from the project reports including quarterly progress, technical and financial audit, midterm review and completion reports.
