The SG Multiply regional coordinator – Asia will serve as a key leader on a rapidly growing team focused on expanding our network of strategic, missionally aligned partners in the region. S/he will serve as lead and point of contact for all SG Multiply activities in the region and will be responsible for initiating and supporting high-impact partnerships in the region in line with our expansion strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote and fulfill the mission and vision of HOPE International
Regional SG Multiply Responsibilities
- Serve as Asia lead and point of contact for all SG Multiply activities and initiatives in the region
- Lead and manage the SG Multiply Asia team in a way that reinforces biblical principles of respect, humility, and Christlikeness
- Actively seek and network with mission-aligned organizations and church networks in the region to build a pipeline of potential SG Multiply partners
- Support various phases of SG Multiply partnership process including partnership development, ministry design, training, and ongoing support to ensure effective collaboration for a healthy and thriving savings group ministry
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for several SG Multiply partners in region
- Contribute to design, adaptation, and improvement of partner-specific SG methodology to support partners in implementing flourishing SG ministries
- Help develop and lead strategic planning, evaluation, and innovation activities for region
- Update and provide reports for regional activities, KPIs, partner activities, and testimonies as requested
- Lead and manage the SG Multiply budget and reforecast process for the region, including partner grants and reporting
- Provide training, ongoing support, coaching, and mentoring for SG Multiply partner staff and volunteers on SG curricula, ministry processes, and management tools
- Collaborate and support networkwide, regional SG Multiply Partner events, and community of practice building activities
- Engage partners and HOPE staff in continual improvement and feedback processes for continual refinement of SG Multiply methodology to ensure high-level of service to new and existing partners
- Support HOPE’s network strategic objectives of frontiers, innovation, and partnership
Savings Group Program Support
- Serve as a member of the global Savings Group Multiply team, collaborating with the overall SG Multiply/program development team including providing direct support to the team
- Participate in regular SG team meetings and planning/strategy sessions, carrying out assigned tasks and working to equip field leadership for country specific and network wide initiatives
- Model servant-leadership in the work environment, including HOPE co-workers and ministry stakeholders
- Contribute to a culture that models Biblical principles and incorporates an intentional and effective Christ-centered witness in all SG programs
- Encourage and model servant-like posture in relationships with HOPE staff and SG Multiply partners
QUALIFICATIONS
- Personal confession of faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to the mission of HOPE International
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (i.e. international development, economics, or business management); advanced degree preferred
- Demonstrated 7+ years of experience working in savings groups or holistic community development, ideally in a church context
- Strong cross-cultural sensitivity, experience, and communication skills. Preference for candidates who have tangible work experience in multiple countries in the region
- Self-starter, takes initiative on projects, attentive to detail, and timely
- Experience in consulting, mentoring and/or coaching teams not directly managed
- Experience leading and managing a team strongly preferred
- Experience working with partnerships of different kinds including church denominations and/or NGOs
- Experience applying participatory education (adult learning principles) and facilitating trainings preferred
- Requires willingness and ability to travel up to 75 nights per year, mostly international trips to visit partner programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
