The Role

Oxfam International Regional Platform -Asia is looking for a Regional Feminist LHL Advisor who supports in building strong feminist local humanitarian leadership across the region anchored in country and programmatic investments, the continuing process of learning and engaging with a wider network of stakeholders especially women’s rights organizations (WROs), and further exploring innovative ways of strengthening and building new forms of partnerships. This role will work with country teams, affiliates and WROs to embed Oxfam’s philosophy and strategy of LHL and through a commitment to feminist approach to local humanitarian leadership. Oxfam’s portfolio of work in Asia is transforming to a more diversified portfolio and the postholder is expected to adopt a ‘networked way of working’ to ensure maximum impact.
Who we’re looking for

A Regional Feminist LHL Advisor with Masters or equivalent degree in Development Studies or similar subjects or substantive years of work experience that provide strong knowledge in the field. S/he should have at least 5 years’ experience of humanitarian response and/or development work, especially gender and development and/or women’s rights, sufficient to develop significant expertise in the practical implementation of theoretical knowledge and at least 2 years’ partnership management with demonstrated experience in connecting with local civil society organizations in particular and a sound understanding of engagement with governments
