After a successful and promising 4-year start, the Observatory has published its first annual report in January 2023 and will publish thematic studies later this year. The Observatory now plans to develop a data portal to better share its outcomes to stakeholders in an efficient and user-friendly way that will facilitate documented decision making.
Project 2: The WOAH Procedure for official recognition animal health status is one of the core mandates of WOAH to recognise disease-free areas internationally based on Members’ compliance with the international standards. The objective of this platform is to facilitate the exchange between WOAH and Members as well as to provide easy but secure access to their respective documents and reports in relation to the procedures of official recognition and maintenance of animal health status, and self-declarations of disease freedom, and also to allow sharing of all relevant guidance related to these procedures.
