WASH and Rehabilitation Assistant ER

Providing assistant to the AAH’s work team in Aleppo in conducting the technical assessment and following up the implementation of shelter project within Aleppo city.

Key activities in your role will include

Objective 1: Providing assistance to the AAH’s work team in Aleppo in implementing the WASH emergency activities in Aleppo city

Visit the assigned work location in cooperation with the line supervisor; fill the assessment form, Bill of Quantities (B.o.Q) based on the minimum standards.
Prepare and submits activity reports attached with photos which should be taken properly for each category of works.
Visit the assigned work location in coordination with the line supervisor and collect all the preliminary data related to planned activities
Prepare NFI distribution plans, ensuring the aid is delivered to beneficiaries based on agreed criteria.
Assist in the supervising process of the execution works in the assigned work location in accordance with the B.O.Q, specifications & drawings.
Follow up and measures the executed quantities and inform the line Supervisor about any discrepancies between the signed quantities and executed ones
Follow up the quality of the executed works and the equipment delivered to the project site, in this regards he/she should inform line Supervisor about any discrepancies between the quality of delivered items and the one agreed in the initial specification.
Follow up the time schedule agreed with the contractor, the line manager and the project officer.

Prepare and submit to the line supervisor the Daily/weekly/monthly Progress Reports attached with progress photos which should be taken properly for each category of works
Help in receiving the works from the contractors and suppliers, signing the certificate of reception, calculating the quantity of delivered goods/equipment to the work locations
Ensure the needed means of verification are collected for each activity, in accordance with the line manager
Help in the handing over process of the site location to the related official entity representative (Municipality, governorate, ministry, SARC).

Do you meet the profile required criteria?

Bachelor’s degree (in Civil, electrical, mechanical engineering, architecture) or other appropriate related discipline
Experience managing distributions and relief operations Experience managing daily workers and volunteers Experience in Conducting BoQ, and engineering measuring Experience in rehabilitation related projects
At least 2 years of previous relevant job experience
Humanitarian sector knowledge 1 year
Basically ability to move inside Aleppo Governorate , and travels to other Syrian governorates when needed

Our remuneration package:

Contract period: 3 months renewable base on Action Against Hunger fund and performance.

Salary/benefits: According to Action Against Hunger's salary scale and terms and conditions.

Duty station: Aleppo
