Climate and Decarbonisation Expert

The overall objective of this assignment is for a consultant (hereafter, the “Service Provider”) to support the Beneficiary in developing and publishing a decarbonisation plan at group level, covering all product lines, distribution activities and production/manufacturing locations.

Key Expert II: Climate and Decarbonisation Expert (Category II)

Qualifications

At least a Bachelor’s Degree in in engineering, climate or energy sciences, environmental economics or an equivalent field (minimum requirement).

General professional experience

At least 10 years experience in advisory and/or research related to climate change, energy or sustainability (minimum requirement).

Specific professional experience

The expert must have at least 4 years experience related to carbon footprinting and GHG accounting (minimum requirement). Experience in developing decarbonisation or corporate climate plans in
carbon-intensive industries within the past 10 years will constitute an asset. Knowledge of relevant international climate standards and methodologies. (such as, for example, the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) or the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard), demonstrated by working experience on 3 projects (or more), will
constitute an asset. Experience in organising and delivering training and capacity building workshops will constitute an asset.

Language and other Skills

Excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English (minimum requirement). Knowledge of Lithuanian language is considered an asset
