The Program

The Fiji Program Support Facility (the Facility) was established in 2017 to support and implement Australia’s aid programs such as health, education, emergency preparedness and response and governance in Fiji. The Facility also supports the Australia Awards in Fiji and Tuvalu. The Facility integrates cross-cutting themes, including gender equality, disability and social inclusion, climate change and disaster risk reduction, across sectoral programs. In particular, the Facility seeks to strengthen program outcomes by better addressing the needs of targeted beneficiaries including those who are often marginalised.

The Institutional Partnerships Program partners with the Government of Fiji (GoF) to deliver assistance in targeted areas where Australia is well placed to support Fiji navigate the economic impact of COVID-19: through government twinning partnerships, technical assistance and grants that can be mobilised quickly to support Fiji’s ongoing stability, prosperity, and resilience to shocks.

The Position

The Legal Drafter will perform in-line legislative drafting functions for the Solicitor General and will adopt on-the-job training methods to improve the drafting skills of staff within the Drafting Division.
