Juru Energy is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Engineering Surveys Team in Tashkent, Uzbekistan office. As a Geotechnical Engineer you will be responsible for the study and review of the natural environment before a construction project takes place. This includes reviewing the surrounding minerals and materials and helping to design projects based on your findings.
Job responsibilities:
- Advise on procedures required and the suitability of construction materials;
- Propose effective fixes to geotechnical obstacles;
- Coordinate the field works and sub-contractors;
- Inspect the composition of naturally-occurring formations at each prospective site;
- Draw an array of samples and studying these in the laboratory;
- Calculate all requisite costs and material resources;
- Plan detailed field investigations by drilling and analysing samples of deposits or bedrocks;
- Advise on and test a range of construction materials including sand, gravel, bricks and clay;
- Interpret field and laboratory test results based on standards;
- Write technical reports after gathering required information.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- BSc in geological engineering, geology, geotechnology or related field;
- Min 2 years’ work experience as a Geotechnical Engineer;
- Mathematics, science and geological knowledge;
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and other teams;
- Driver’s license
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Working knowledge of geotechnics related software and special equipment
- Excellent command of English and Russian, particularly written, Uzbek is an advantage;
- Knowledge of local standards such as GOST, КМК, ShNK
- Proficient user of MS Office programs;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
