Tanzanian Experts in the Field of OB/GYN, Pediatrics/Neonatal Care, Reproductive Health/Family Planning

We are preparing a tender offer for a project in Tanga, Tanzania that aims to improve Maternal Sexual & Reproductive Health and Newborn Care in selected project regions.                                                                       

The experts team for this work will need 4 Tanzanian experts who will be based in Tanga, for the duration of 27 months, starting October/November 2023. Under guidance of the Team Leader and in close consultation and collaboration with the regional, district and facility counterparts, they will plan and implement project measures pertaining to Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (CEmONC)  and Family Planning.

The project has a job opportunity for :

One OB/GYN (University degree in medicine and completed specialization in obstetrics/gynaecology medical) with  7 years of professional clinical experience in obstetrics/gynaecology and 3 years of professional experience in quality improvement processes in maternal health, 3 years of experience in conducting clinical training and mentoring in maternal health including obstetric emergency care.

One Gynaecologist (University degree in medicine and completed specialization in gynaecology) with at least 4 years of professional clinical experience in gynaecology and 3 years of experience in conducting clinical training and mentoring in maternal health including obstetric emergency care and family planning.

One Paediatrician (University degree in medicine and completed specialization in paediatrics) with at least 7 years of professional clinical experience in paediatrics with 3 years in a neonatal care unit. The candidate should also have  3 years of experience in quality improvement
processes and 1 year in conducting clinical training and mentoring in newborn care.

One specialist in Family Planning/Reproductive Health (University qualification in nursing/midwifery degree at master level with formal training in FP) with 6 years of professional experience in reproductive health (RH), including family planning (FP), service delivery in client centred
settings/organisations and 3 years of experience in conducting clinical training and mentoring in RH incl. FP.

All experts should be fluent in fluent in English and Kiswahili.
