Senior Energy and Resource Efficiency Expert

Juru is looking for a Senior Energy and Resource Efficiency Expert to join our Advisory Business Unit in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. You will be a part of a multidisciplinary team working on landmark energy and climate transition assignments in the region.

Job responsibilities:

• Lead assignments related to energy and resource efficiency (energy/water / material/waste) assessments in various sectors (buildings, industry, SMEs, cities, transport, etc.);
• Conduct energy and resource efficiency audits (as needed), collect (questionnaires, surveys, etc.) and analyze collected data, and develop recommendations for saving energy and resources, reduction in usage, as well as carbon savings;
• Identify and assess applicable and viable low-carbon and resource-saving technologies, including best available technologies (BAT), and their viability in considered cases (by costing and calculating energy, resource, and carbon savings, providing technical and financial justification);
• Prepare subject matter reports, presentations, and training materials (as needed);
• Engage and work with public and private sector stakeholders as part of various subject matter assignments, including governments, development organizations, businesses, etc.;
• Perform any other ad-hoc tasks relevant to this position.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (MSc is an advantage);
• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in energy/resource efficiency assessments or audits, previous consultancy experience is an advantage;
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications (particularly MS Excel);
• Fluent English and Russian, particularly written;
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills;
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
