About the role 

Crown Agents is working to expand the portfolio of global health and supply chain programmes we deliver. For decades we have been a trusted partner to Governments as they look to overcome key practical challenges in health supply chain to ensure that essential healthcare products reach those who urgently need them, especially during emergencies.

We deploy Crown Agents’ existing capabilities in supply chain, government systems strengthening, programme and fund management to solve the public health and supply chain challenges countries’ face. We engage in projects and initiatives which will make a critical difference in countries’ abilities to provide the knowledge, systems and last-mile expertise needed to source and move life-saving medicines and products in a way that both saves lives and increases the quality of life for citizens.

Building on our existing global health and supply chain work Crown Agents is now seeking to increase the pool of experts we work with to support us to deliver the expanding portfolio of life saving, global health programmes we are trusted to deliver. 

About you 

We are looking to hear from health and medical product procurement and sourcing experts with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• Infectious/parasitic diseases
• Family Planning and Reproductive Health (FP/RH)
• Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH)

We have a range of Mid-Level and Senior-Level positions available, subject to contract awards. The key requirements for each level are set out below.

All roles are expected to the based in the Netherlands.

Role requirements (Mid-Level Positions):

We are building a pool of Mid-Level experts with professional experience working as a technical specialist in one or more of the following areas (1) Pandemic and Emergency Response (2) Sourcing and (3) Procurement.

The key areas of expertise required for each technical area are:

1. Pandemic and Emergency Response Specialists

  • Experience of procurement in a pandemic or emergency response environment.
  • In depth-market and product knowledge of procurement of related products for infectious diseases.

2. Sourcing specialists

  • Significant experience and proficiency in conducting market analysis of health products to combat infectious diseases.
  • Experience of conducting product reviews in accordance with statutory and donor requirements.

3. Procurement Specialists (expertise in either infectious diseases or FP/RH and MNCH)

Infectious diseases:

  • Demonstrated experience in the procurement of health products for infectious diseases, or;

FP/RH and MNCH:

  • Demonstrated experience in the procurement for of FP/RH and MNCH programmes, including:
  • Market knowledge of medical device products for FP/RH and MNCH programmes
  • Specific experience in procuring medical devices for FP/RH and MNCH programmes.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Global Health and Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Public Health or a related area.
  • Requisite work experience will also be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience of working on multi-lateral and bi-lateral global health and supply chain programmes for donors, such as UN, The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and USAID is strongly desired for all Mid-Level roles.

Role requirements (Senior Level Positions):

We are also seeking to build a pool of Senior Level Experts who possess excellent strategic and planning skills, and:

  • Experience of providing technical leadership and guidance for global health and supply chain programmes, with specific experience in: Category Management: Cross category co-ordination and Inventory management.
  • Experience of leading multi-lateral and bi-lateral global health and supply chain programmes for donors is strongly desirable.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Global Health and Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Public Health or a related area.
  • Requisite work experience will also be considered in lieu of a degree.
