Team Leader - Italy-ASEAN Development Partnership Coordinator

JOB OVERVIEW

The "Team Leader - Italy-ASEAN Development Partnership Coordinator" will be based in an AICS branch office in Jakarta, Indonesia. Travels to the countries under the authority of Hanoi Head Office might be required.

The "Team Leader (TL) - Italy-ASEAN Development Partnership Coordinator" (TL) will work under the general supervision of the Office Holder and in liaison with the Programmes Coordinator of the AICS Hanoi Office. He/she will play a coordinating role between the ASEAN Secretariat and its Technical Divisions, the AICS Regional Headquarters in Hanoi and the Embassy of Italy in Jakarta, as well as with the main ASEAN development partners. He/she will ensure adequate technical assistance to the ASEAN Secretariat and ensure that the management of cooperation activities agreed with the ASEAN Secretariat is effective, efficient and transparent.
Specifically, the TL will support the AICS Hanoi Office, ensuring a constant liaison with the Italian Embassy in Jakarta, in the identification of intervention priorities and in the formulation of development initiatives in the framework of the Italy-ASEAN development partnership, in line with the three-year programming and policy document of the Italian Cooperation and the ASEAN strategic development documents. The TL will guarantee the supervision of the implementation of the initiatives, in agreement with the implementing agencies, and the monitoring of the financed projects, also through field missions, and will ensure the visibility of the Italian contributions. He/she will participate in the coordination tables with the other ASEAN international development partners and where necessary in the meetings requested by the national ASEAN Secretariats or others indicated by the AICS Hanoi Headquarters.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Personnel to be recruited must meet the following essential requirements at the time of expiration of the call for applications:

1. be at least 18 years of age. The office will not, in any case, proceed to the conclusion of the contract of employment with the selected candidate whose age is higher than the statutory retirement age provided by the social security regulations to be applied in relation to the subjective situation of the candidate or is acquired before the expiry date of the contract;
2. be physically fit for employment;
3. have obtained the qualification required by the selection notice;
4. have acquired the professional experience required by the selection notice in the relevant sector;
5. excellent knowledge of the English language (level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages - CEFR) and of the Italian language (level C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages - CEFR). The minimum language level required refers to comprehension (listening and reading), oral production and written production;
6. knowledge and habitual and effective use of the main IT tools, in particular MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
