Qualifications and skills

-        University level education, preferably in biology or ecology or similar natural science;

-        Good knowledge of the Birds Directive and the IBA program of Birdlife International documented by their practical work in the country of origin;

-        Fluency in written and spoken English;

-        Full computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point as a matter of minimum;

-        Good knowledge of bird ecology.

General professional experience

-        At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of nature protection;

Specific professional experience

-        At least 5 years of experience related to SPA establishment or management

-        Experience in field work.

Advantages

-        Experience with field work for identification, delineation, establishment and/or management of SPAs;

-        Knowledge of the avifauna of Western Balkans and expertise work conditions in the region;

-        Familiarity with the establishment of the Emerald network of the Bern convention is an asset

-        Knowledge of GIS.
