Here at Human Appeal, we have an exciting opportunity for a US Deployments Coordinator to join our team**.** You will join us on a full-time basis for an initial 1-year fixed term contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary.
Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.
As US Deployments Coordinator, the successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting the Deployments Manager in strategically leading and coordinating international deployments, ensuring that all available opportunities for raising funds for Human Appeal are sought and maintained at agreed levels of return on investment as well as developing new innovative deployment opportunities. All in order to build awareness of Human Appeal projects and increase income generation/donations year on year to secure the long-term financial sustainability and growth of the charity in line with fundraising strategy. We are ideally looking to appoint somebody immediately to this role.

Key duties and responsibilities of the US Deployments Coordinator:
- To manage and nurture a network of national volunteers (and develop and recruit corporate challenge event teams) in line with the volunteer recruitment strategy by collaborating with the Volunteers Coordinator, hosting recruitment events, providing training and HA materials and providing formal feedback to the Volunteers Coordinator. To help develop volunteer recruitment process, provide a mutually beneficial volunteers program, and support HA to gain loyal organizational man power.
- To demonstrate on-going professional development through reflective practice and participation in internal and external development opportunities as evidenced in a Continuing Professional Development plan, taking a proactive role in own learning and development activities (e.g., private study, e-learning) to benefit self and charity for the future.
- To manage, supervise and work with volunteers and interns
- To assist in and contribute towards the development, maintenance, and delivery of Human Appeal’s deployment plan.
- To provide support to FR colleagues, when necessary, by attending and contributing positively to FR regional/national meetings, understanding support needs and providing this to colleagues especially during peak periods (e.g., Ramadan). To help promote information sharing, generation of leads and innovative ideas, help distribute manpower and ensure smooth running of FR operations and good working relations
What we’re looking for in our US Deployments Coordinator:
- Ideally educated to Degree level, with minimum High School diploma
- At least 2 years of experience working in a similar post, such as a Fundraising or Volunteers Management role
- Computer literate, particularly in MS Office Suite and Donor Management systems, e.g. Salesforce
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential. Additional languages such as Arabic, Urdu, are desirable
- Passionate and knowledgeable about the nonprofit field

- Safeguarding bright futures for more than 22,000 vulnerable orphans in 9 countries. Our one-to-one sponsorship programme has a built-in school attendance requirement while covering the cost of food, housing, medical care, and learning materials
