Senior Energy and Environment Consultant

Juru is looking for a Senior Energy and Environment Consultant for our Advisory Business Unit in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. You will be part of the team working at the intersection of energy and environment for landmark sustainable development projects in Central Asia and Caucasus.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage client engagements in energy, environment, climate change, and sustainability projects and programs (particularly funded by IFIs and governments).
• Contribute with analysis into development and implementation of integrated solutions to complex energy and environmental challenges.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on energy and environmental policy, strategy, and operations, in the context of their development and sustainability goals.
• Conduct research and analysis on energy and environmental topics relevant to these clients, such as renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency measures, climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies, and sustainable development practices.
• Prepare reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders, including policy papers, project proposals, and evaluation reports.
• Contribute to the firm's business development efforts by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders at IFIs, governments and private sector.

Key qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field, such as economics, environmental science, public policy, or business administration.
• 5+ years of experience in energy and environmental consulting, with a focus on integrated solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to think strategically and see the big picture.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with a variety of clients, including government agencies, businesses, and nonprofits.
• Knowledge of a variety of energy and environmental technologies and policies.
• Excellent command of English and Russian, particularly written
• Proficient user of desktop/cloud productivity tools/applications (particularly with enhanced word processing and spreadsheet skills)
