Translation of European Scientific Literature, Manuals and Materials to Local Languages: Team Leader

General description of the position: 

The Team Leader will liaise with the EUD DEL to Eritrea and with local counterpart. He/will coordinate the activities of the other Key and non-key experts. He/she will also be part of the Advisory Group

• Expert category: Cat. I (>12 years of experience) 

Qualifications and skills required: 

•University master's degree (MSc) relevant to the assignment (e.g. Agriculture engineering, Agriculture Economy, Agronomy, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Natural Sciences) or experience relevant to the assignment. 

•Excellent social interaction and communication skills

•Good analytical and report-writing skills

• General professional experience: More than 12 years of professional experience in working in the field of development and/or project and programme management

Specific professional experience: 

•At least 12 years’ profession experience in coordinating/negotiating and communicating with EU Delegation(s), International and local stakeholders in the field of Agriculture/Natural Resources.

•Prior experience with EC programmes, as well as knowledge of EC procedures

•Experience in Eritrea and/or in the region is an asset.

Language skills:

Written and oral fluency in English language is essential, while knowledge of local as well as other European languages is an added advantage
