Evaluation Specialist, USAID/Jordan Knowledge, Monitoring, Evidence, Learning, and Research Activity (KMELRA), Jordan

Proposal Objective:

Social Impact is bidding on the upcoming USAID/Jordan KMELRA project, intended to be an umbrella mechanism providing USAID/Jordan with empirical data on program effectiveness, deepen accountability, foster learning, and knowledge management, and improve Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) and Collaboration, Learning and Adaptation (CLA) capacity within USAID/Jordan Mission and Jordan in general. The Activity will be designed to advance USAID localization agenda and promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) goals.

Position Description:

Social Impact is seeking a full-time Jordanian Evaluation Specialist to support assessments, and evaluation activities under this anticipated project.

This will be a full-time position based in Amman, Jordan for the duration of the contract, contingent upon contract award. The anticipated award date for the proposal is Fall 2024.

Responsibilities:

  • Support in conducting evaluations, assessments, and research throughout the life of the contract.
  • Participate in the design evaluation designs and methods, tool development and testing, data collection and analysis.
  • Support management and recruitment of consultants engaged in these activities.
  • Support dissemination activities for sharing results and findings of evaluations, assessments, and research activities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in research methods, statistics, demography, social science research, or a related field.
  • Experience serving in a similar evaluation position on a USAID contract. Experience serving on a USAID monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) support contract preferred.
  • At least five years of experience in evaluations and research design and methods, conducting program and project surveys, assessments, and data analysis, preferably in health, education, economic growth, democracy, and governance, and/or environment sectors.
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
  • Networks with technical experts in learning, monitoring, evaluation, research, economic growth, governance, health, education, and environment.
  • Familiarity with USAID’s objectives, approaches, and operations, particularly as they relate to evaluations.
  • Professional proficiency in oral and written English, and fluency in Standard Arabic.
