Proposal Objective:

Social Impact is bidding on the upcoming USAID/Jordan KMELRA project, intended to be an umbrella mechanism providing USAID/Jordan with empirical data on program effectiveness, deepen accountability, foster learning, and knowledge management, and improve Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) and Collaboration, Learning and Adaptation (CLA) capacity within USAID/Jordan Mission and Jordan in general. The Activity will be designed to advance USAID localization agenda and promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) goals.

Position Description:

Social Impact is seeking a full-time Jordanian Learning Specialist to support collaboration, learning and adapting activities for the contract.

This will be a full-time position based in Amman, Jordan for the duration of the contract, contingent upon contract award. The anticipated award date for the proposal is Fall 2024.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Collaboration, Learning, and Adaptation (CLA) services and activities on the contract, including learning events, learning agenda development, facilitation of workshops, and/or MEL training.
  • Gather, synthesize, and create systems for maintaining and disseminating key information.
  • Support knowledge management strategies to ensure lessons learned and best practices are stored and shared with USAID, stakeholders and implementing partners.
  • Support external and internal collaboration strategies with implementing partners, USAID, and other partnership opportunities, including the private sector.
  • Support facilitation of high-level discussions among USAID staff and partners regarding learning and adaptive management.
  • Support organizational change management and coaching tasks for USAID staff.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in international development, international affairs, monitoring and evaluation, social sciences, organizational management, or communications, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in areas including facilitation and training, coaching and mentoring, organizational change management, learning and adaptive management approaches, communication of M&E findings and recommendations, and learning methods and tools for utilizing and disseminating monitoring, research, and evaluation results.
  • Experience serving in a similar position supporting USAID Missions or USAID implementing partners in collaboration, adaptive management, and/or facilitation of learning.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with local professionals, international donors, host country government counterparts, and other implementing partners.
  • Familiarity of USAID CLA framework, Evaluation Policy, and other initiatives.
  • Professional proficiency in oral and written English, and fluency in Standard Arabic.
