The key requirements for the Environmental Monitoring and Management Lead are :

• Minimum a bachelor’s degree in the natural sciences or environmental
  engineering.
• At least 03 years of proven experience of Environmental Assessment studies and monitoring of implementation of Environmental Management Plans (ESMP)
• At least one (01) experience working on international transmission lines projects.
• Angolese nationality.
• Working in Angola is an added advantage.
• Fluent in Portuguese.

The Environmental Monitoring and Management Officer shall participate in some aspects of contract management, including, the monitoring of the performance of the contractors during construction in relation to compliance with the ESMP, the preparation and implementation of the Construction ESMP (CESMP) (Phase 2), the post construction evaluation and reporting on defects (Phase 3). The Environmental Monitoring and Management Officer shall report to the Project Manager and the PIU E&S manage. The consultant shall have excellent communication skills in Portuguese language both verbally and in writing and good knowledge of the English language.
