PRACTICE DESCRIPTION:
Genesis offers a wealth of experience in providing strategy support to financial services players, with two decades of experience and over 600 successfully completed projects in Africa and the Middle East.
Our clients are diverse. We assist governments and government agencies in developing long-term strategies aimed at economic development and advise donors in developing their initiatives to better reach their targeted segments.
The team of 40 is currently based in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Kenya, West Africa, East Africa and Europe, and will grow substantially over the coming year. We work across about 50 projects at any one time.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
You will work to elevate our ongoing work in the Financial Services Sector, particularly the Lusophone Market. Your role will encompass:
- Market Research
- Report Writing
- Business development support
- Analytical Support
This is a fixed-term contract opportunity.
LOCATION:
- This role can be based in any of the Lusophone countries or Portugal. You must already have the right to work in the location you apply for.
LANGUAGE:
- Native Portuguese and Fluent Business English

Successful candidates will have a thirst for learning and experience in development, research, strategy and crafting tailored analytical solutions for clients. You possess entry-level understanding of the development and financial services matters. You are likely to have:
- Bachelor or Graduate Degree in Economics, development studies, social innovation, business administration or a related field
- Research and/or Consulting internship experience is desirable
