Chief of Party, USAID Global Health Security

Location: Southeast Asia

CRDF Global is seeking a Project Director/Chief of Party (COP) for an upcoming global health security activities in the Southeast Asia Region funded by USAID. 

The anticipated program seeks to build host countries capacities to prevent, detect, and rapidly respond to new and emerging infectious diseases and advance health systems and One Health approach.

Responsibilities 

• Oversee the full implementation of the activity
• Serve as the primary point of contact for USAID and being held accountable for the results.
• Providing strategic technical guidance, ensure ethical and high-quality management of the activity and its staff, including consortium members.
• Guarantee that the activity’s objectives are met with technical excellence and that all contractual obligations are fulfilled on schedule and within budget.
• Maintaining communication with USAID, relevant government officials, development partners, other USAID implementing partners, and key stakeholders in global health security 
• Fostering open, productive, and collaborative relationships with partners, facilitating the activity’s implementation.
• Ensure adherence to the cooperative agreement’s terms and conditions, as well as USAID policies and regulations.
• Promptly identify potential issues and risks associated with project implementation
• Propose suitable adjustments to the project plan, and establish systems to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse

Minimum Required Qualifications                 

• Master’s degree or other advanced degree in a relevant field such as epidemiology, public health, global health, animal health, environmental science, and health administration. 
• Minimum of ten years’ experience in a senior role managing large, complex, and integrated programs of similar scope and dollar value (range between $10 to $30 million). Previous experience working in the region is preferred.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with foreign governments, various ministries, development partners, the private sector, and community organizations, NGOs, and research organizations, and academic institutions to advance the health and well-being of animals, people, and the environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing multi-sectoral and multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project results in a fast-paced and complex environment.
• Demonstrated experience in the field of Global Health Security, Infectious Diseases, and One Health preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal, writing, and English language skills.
